Hello, my name is Ako Eyo Oku and I am a lover of kindness.

I had always wanted to help others and make the better place but it wasn't until I joined the Ubuntu Leaders Academy and learnt about Ubuntu that I developed deep passion for empathy and service.

This year, through my social initiative, the Global Learning Community Program (www.glcp.webs.com), I empowered 54 youths through business education (Impact-50 Program), and helped 5 participants register their businesses with support from two organizations (the International Business Management Institute, Berlin and Atlas Corps). I had chosen to be a bridge builder, approaching these organizations and soliciting for MOOC scholarships and sponsorships for the young people. In the end, they studied and earned diploma certificates.

I am glad to have contributed to empowering these youth because education is one of the best gifts that we can give to people.
