I watched the documentary called 13th (2016) on Netflix. This film is about mass incarceration in the US, particularly of black people. Overall, I though it was informative, interesting, thought-provoking, and, especially towards the end, heart-breaking. I only wish they would've spoken more about what types of crimes black people are most commonly being arrested for (violent, non-violent, drug-related, etc.) to get a fuller picture of the situation. But in spite of that, I think this is an enlightening film that everyone should take a look at if they have the chance.
Another great documentary regarding racism and police brutality that I didn't see on the list provided is LA 92 (2017). This film consists entirely of raw footage detailing the Rodney King beating and the LA riots that followed the acquittals of his assailants.
