My 8 year old son Herbie and I bought some plants from a local stall (the vendor gave us two extra cos she loved what we were doing!) then had a hot chocolate in a cafe while we designed our sign and our tags and drew it with colours pencils.

The lady at the flower stall told us we should go to a social club for the Over-60s who are a bit lonely, it was just around the corner.

We met a lovely lady there who gave us a spot by the door to leave our plants - some vibrant Gerberas! She was very happy to meet us and told us the plants would all go in a rush (so she sneaked one for herself to put in her office!)

The room was full of elderly people sat staring into space sat around tables waiting for their lunch, mostly in silence. I think the plants will have cheered then up.
