I, myself, am a disabled woman. Whenever I see children who are crying and frustrated, I love to doodle a picture to calm them down. Recently my husband was having a dental appointment. A child was at the dentist's office, in tears. My act of kindness was to allow this child to watch me doodle a few pictures and to give one to him. His mom was quite pleased when he became quiet and even giggled in pleasure. Even though my artwork is quite simple, I find the mere act of working with the child livens his or her heart and makes me feel, as an epileptic, all the more able as a person. Deb Schwarte
