I personally didn't witness this act, but my twin-sister did: She was in town volunteering for the Cancer Council by handing out information booklets, free pens, and badges... an elderly woman came up to her and got out all the coins she had in her pocket and gave them to my sister to donate. My sister said thank you, and this woman said, "no, thank YOU, thank you for supporting such an important cause. I am homeless, I don't have much, but here is some money for the cause." And then the woman walked away. This was such an astonishing example of kindness. This woman didn't have much, but she still gave to an important cause. This woman may not have much money, or even a roof over her head and somewhere to sleep at night, but she has KINDNESS and compassion. I think this woman is a wonderful human being.
