I work in a public library and we get a lot of homeless/transient people coming in. Yesterday a new young gentleman came in expecting an e-mail from his family with a pin code so he could collect some cash. Well as time went on (we close at 6) he started to panic as the e-mail was not coming through. I thought that if we could phone his parents the process would go faster. And so thats what I did. He got his code and was very happy that i could help. (we are not really allowed to get involved like this with the patrons, but i cannot see someone in such a state and most likely to sleep on the street, if he did not get help) I have a soft spot for the "undesireable" "unwanted" "forgotten" people in out town, and will always go out of my way to help if i can.
