Even though I'm a college student and I'm pretty much broke, today I decided to join Doctors without Borders and donate 10 euros monthly to their organization. Hopefully, not only will this help them save people but also help me realize that my everyday caprices and whims are exactly just that. What could potentially become a pair of slightly more expensive shoes for me could be a life-saving vaccine for a child. Clean water. Food. A doctor for a woman in labor. A blanket for the cold. It's so important that we are reminded about just how much MONEY DOES NOT MATTER, especially in an age like this when wild capitalism keeps rising and rising. Please remember that the purpose of money is to cover your life essentials: food, clean water, housing, healthcare, clothing and education if it isn't offered publicly. The rest is optional. Consider donating for someone in need! Peace 💚
