Since summer 2015 I spent a lot of time with refugees. It all started when a small initiative wanted to welcome the refugees who were put into tents on the sports field of the police station in our city. I went there to meet the people and see if they needed anything. All i could bring was some stationary because I didn't have the time to bake a cake (that was the idea), but I thought maybe it could help them studying. Quickly I was involved with the people there and the idea to start a German classes was born. Just a few days later a place was organised and people came there voluntarily to teach. It was a lot of chaos, but even more fun and a great exchange. Now almost two years later I am still in touch with a few of them and we spent really good times together. The classes still happen two days a week and every now and then I still teach when they need someone. I am very thankful for that time and I wouldn't want to miss it. I found new friends not only in the refugees who a all very important parts of my life now.
