A friend in Juarez, Mexico found a brilliant child living in the streets and we befriended his mother and him, who started to come and visit my friend's house, which was always open. It was difficult to do anything for him without the rest of his family's intervention. His mom who sold flowers in the streets was mentally sick . Two of her girls were taken to foster care. I felt that if we brought food to their family , they would be more open to accept this lady and her child back, and seeing her supported, they would be more compassionate. Finally one of the aunts took the child under her care. Integrating this boy in a more healthy and caring environment was a group effort. He went back to visit and looked good :)
