I was in the subway, after a long working day. I was tired, mad and disappointed (my work annual evaluation was under my expectations) and I was thinking that no matter how hard I work, how much I am putting in trying to help my colleagues and deliver good services, it is never enough. While listening to uplifting music (2Pac - Better days) i noticed a young girl in front of me who was holding her tears. She had dreadlocks, tattoos and some beautiful freckles. I found her extremely beautiful and even though she tried to look though, you could see the kindness and sensibility in her eyes. Before my stop, I got up and told her "you are very beautiful". I didn't see what I was going to start and I sorta felt bad about it because she started crying her eyes out, with hiccups and all. She hugged me and told me that her boyfriend just left her because she wasn't as good looking as he was (his words exactly). Now that's when I got mad. I stayed with her on the subway and tried to calm her but I knew there was more than just her stupid ass boyfriend. We got out of the subway, went for a coffee and became friends. She is the kindest person I've met. She helped me more that day than I helped her.
