Reconnect with someone special

My friend Chiara and I lost touch these past few years. I decided enough was enough. So, I reconnected and we are meeting on Thursday for dinner. What is surprising and uplifting, to me, is that being older and wiser I didn't give up on this friendship. I believe we can reconnect, if we truly want to.
