Service workers make the flurry of activity at transit hubs, restaurants, and shops possible. Take time to thank them for their hard work. Photo by Brooke Cagle on Unsplash.
Everyday, when I leave for the day - I work at home - I open the chat channel we use at work to communicate and thank my 40 colleagues for their support. I feel that it is a small way to recognize each one of them for the work they are doing. And I wish them a great rest of their day, as they are all spread out in different timezones.
My students and I wrote letters to different service men and women thanking them for all they do for us. We wrote and delivered 43 letters.
The lady at the deli last night looked tired. She had told me about how hard she worked all day. I thanked her. And told her her hard work was appreciated.
